Becky Ham, Building Bridges Leader:
Becky believes that teaching is a calling that God placed on her life at a young age. As far back as she can remember she wanted to be a teacher. She was raised in Delco, NC, where she lives today. After graduating from East Columbus High School, she attended UNCW, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Becky teaches at Acme-Delco Elementary in Columbus County where she has taught both kindergarten and first grade. After college, Becky married her high school sweetheart, Jamie. They have two children, Anna and Tyler. Jamie, Becky and Anna began attending BOLCC in the fall of 2006 (Tyler would come later in 2009) Becky loves working with the children's ministry at BOLCC and feels that God has called her to be used in this area. Becky has been involved in church leadership with youth for many years.
Favorite Bible Verse: John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
A note from Becky:
"When I miscarried my first child, I was desperately seeking God's face for answers and He gave me this verse. As I read it a deep peace settled in my heart and reminded me of Who was in control. God's peace is like no other! When the storms of life rock my boat, I go back to this verse and claim the peace that Jesus left for me."
