Choose, Cross, Connect
Bridging

In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, I have plans for you, plans for you to prosper and not harm you, but Plans to give you hope and a future. At Bridging, we desire to help teens learn and have the courage to make choices that will help them prosper in their spiritual, emotional and physical lives.

WHAT IS BRIDGING? Bridging is a bible study group that consists of high school aged students(13-18). The group is meant to allow teens of BOLCC an opportunity to share life issues with others that face many of the same situations. BOLCC Bridging teen ministry is where teens choose, cross and connect through relationships with one another and Christ. Teens can be a very powerful influence in bridging the gap to a generation that needs direction, acceptance, love and forgiveness.

WHERE DOES THE GROUP MEET? Bridging has previously met in homes. In October of 2009 the group moved to its current location, a bible study room at Bridge of Life Community Church. (See our map for directions) The room is large enough to hold our group with plenty of space for growth. Take a seat on a couch, sit back, and get ready for a learning experience.

WHEN DOES THE GROUP MEET? Bridging Bible Study meets every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT? Expect to have a good time. We are group of laid back, no pressure teens. The bible study is one that allows for group discussion on topics that are relevant to everyday life. Dress is casual.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING? There is no need for you to bring anything but yourself!

Lisa Hilbourn Lisa Hilbourn, Bridging Leader:

Lisa loves to be around youth! She also loves to sing. Lisa has lived in the area all of her life. She attended a business college in Raleigh and has now been managing a restaurant for more than 22 years. She currently is the manager of a restaurant in Leland. Lisa has one son, Quinn. Shortly after Lisa began attending BOLCC, she joined the praise team to use her voice for God. In 2008 she began holding a bible study for teenagers in her home that quickly became a favorite spot for area youth. "I would have 25-30 teenagers everywhere in my living room" she says. After BOLCC located to its present home Lisa's group, Bridging, started meeting at the church. "I think that I am just meant to be with teenagers, teaching and learning" she says. "They have taught me so much more than I have taught them." Lisa is excited to see what God is doing at Bridge of Life. "All that He has planned is for our good, and I can't wait to see His Glory shine!"
