We are very excited about what God is doing at Bridge of Life Community Church. When God called us to Leland, an area that is experiencing such rapid growth, we asked "Lord, who are we?" We knew that there were good churches and good pastors already in place. However, we also knew God had given us a strong vision and desire to reach out and minister to Leland and the surrounding areas. What a Journey it has been! God has provided for each and every need.

In June 2006, Pastor Jerome Bullard and his wife Gwen, stepped out in faith and decided to put in motion the call and vision that God had placed in their hearts to start a church in the Leland area. Services were held on Wednesday nights in the cafeteria at Leland Middle School for the first few months. During that time God was already sending people to start a foundation for the church. In late September 2006 services began being held on Sunday mornings at Leland Middle School Cafeteria. The very first Sunday there were more than 40 people in attendance.

Bridge of Life met at Leland Middle School for the next 2.5 years in the Auditorium. Equipment had to be brought in by trailer and set up and broken down every Sunday; however the sacrifice was worth it. During that time the church experienced God’s presence and guidance and grew in faith and number. The 120 seat auditorium that once was sufficient became inadequate.

In June 2009, Bridge of Life Community Church found its new home at 2220 Mercantile Drive in the Leland Industrial Park. God blessed, and we now have a 225 seat sanctuary, complete with classrooms for children up to 12 years of age along with a fellowship area, and bible study areas. Since moving into our current location, growth has continued and plans had to be made to expand the sanctuary. In the Spring of 2010, Bridge of Life Community Church began to look at options to accommodate for the growth in numbers. It was decided that it would be more beneficial to acquire more space rather than start a second service at that time. In the Summer of 2010, Bridge of Life signed a lease to expand the sanctuary and add an additional 2500 square and 125 more seats. That brought the total seating to 350. In late August 2010 the work was complete and the new sanctuary is now being enjoyed. During the expansion, the church also expanded the educational space and doubled the size of the fellowship hall.



Our Services include both traditional and contemporary elements. Much of the music is modern songs, yet we also include some hymns. Expect to feel welcomed and expect to feel God's presence.
